Coming in October...
Hey, surprise, it's me! You've probably been wondering where I've been since I finished up reviews of the Alien franchise in June with Prometheus and then went completely silent. Well, I can assure you, I wasn't sitting by a pool, sipping pina coladas all summer. I've actually been doing a lot of writing lately, because this year, we're doing things a little different for October. Instead of me tackling a big horror franchise and putting out a new review every week of the month, this time, you're going to get a new review every day. Yeah, you read that right. Since the beginning of this year, I've been writing and storing away over two dozen horror movie reviews to publish throughout the month of October, having taken a hint from my friend Newt Cox, who runs Double T's Blog of Reviews and every year, does his own marathon called 31 Days of Horror. At the moment, I haven't yet written all 31 reviews but I'm currently on number 27 and, while I will have to write the last two or three in October, come Halloween, they'll all be up. We're going to go more or less in chronological order, starting in the 30's, with the last reviews being on movies that are Halloween-oriented, and we'll go through a wide variety films, such as a Universal horror franchise in the 30's and 40's, another evening with Alfred Hitchcock, some sci-fi/horror crossovers, some slashers, some hardcore exploitation horror films, and much more. So, yeah, mark your calendars, cause it all begins on October 1st and I've scheduled the first review to go up noon that day. And that's that. I hope you all enjoy this and, when it's all said and done, let me know if you'd like me to make this an annual thing. See you in October.
